Health Tracking Module

A quick setup guide and understanding the Health Tracking Module.

Written by Jennifer Fairchild

To stay on top of health data, select the Health Tracking Module. Inside the module, you can view all the health metric and your pinned metrics data.

Customize Metrics

To personalize which metrics are pinned at the top of the page, click Pin Metrics. Click an empty tile and select the metric you'd like to pin, as shown in the picture below.

Want to track something specific to you? Click Add Metric at the bottom of the page and follow the prompts to create your own custom metric.

Unable to Edit or Delete Health Metric

Some metrics can't be deleted or edited. These are global metrics built into the app and shared by everyone, rather than ones created by you or the Care Hub. There is a globe icon on these instead of the trash icon used for metrics that can be removed.

Add Health Data

You can add health data by either manually or through a device sync. Either way works and is completely up to the person. For more information on how to add your health data, go to Add Health Data.

Where Did 'Add Entry' Go?

Once a metric is set up to sync automatically, manual entry isn't available for it anymore. The "Add Entry" and "View All Entries" options will both disappear. A metric can only be synced or manual, never both.

To go back to entering values by hand, stop syncing that metric first (Data Source card on the metric → Stop Syncing This Metric). You will be asked whether to keep or delete the previously synced data.

Viewing Health Data

Once your health data is entered into the Health Tracking Module, whether manually or through device sync, it will automatically appear in graphs, giving you a clear visual of your trends over time.

Health Data Sharing with Care Hub

Health data is shared with your whole Care Hub. The device providing a synced metric can belong to any hub member, so you may see a note like "[Name] is providing data via [provider]" if someone else's device is the source. If another member's device is the source, there currently isn't a way to refresh it from your side. The best fix is asking that person to open the Avanlee app on their own device.

Will 'Forget Recent Data' Delete Data Permanently?

"Forget Recent Data" clears the last 7 days of synced data for that metric. It doesn't delete that data permanently. If the metric is still syncing, it will simply come back in on the next sync. The action itself can't be undone once confirmed, and only the most recent 7 days are affected; older data isn't touched.

The in-app confirmation only appears after the action completes ("[provider] data has been forgotten for the past 7 days"), not before. Therefore, you may not have realized what you confirmed.
